What you need
• 1 tsp (2–3g) Gua Cha matcha
• 60 ml hot water (~80°C)
• 120 ml cold water or sparkling water
• Juice of ½ lemon (fresh only)
• Ice
• 1–2 tsp maple syrup or honey (optional, but recommended)
• Whisk or frother, glass tumbler
What you do
1. Sift the matcha into a bowl or cup.
2. Add hot water and whisk until smooth and glossy. No lumps, no mercy.
3. Fill a glass with ice.
4. Add lemon juice, cold water, and sweetener (if using). Stir lightly.
5. Top with the matcha shot.
6. Sip slowly. This one wakes you up differently.

• Use sparkling water for a sharp, almost tonic-like finish.
• Like it bolder? Add a pinch of lemon zest on top.
